Randy began as an apprentice to a local construction company learning framing, cabinet installation, finish work, and home repairs. Early on he learned to read plans, measure accurately, troubleshoot site issues, and set clear timelines and budgets. Projects from framing to custom kitchens, door and trim work gave him field experience. He later invested in better tools, advanced finish training and certifications and trainings in various aspects of home design. Practical problem-solving, attention to detail, and clean, functional design grew his one-person operation into a trusted cabinetry and handyman service.

I met my partner and the second owner of SleekDesignz while we were both working at the same company; we started as colleagues, teaming up on projects and trading ideas, and over time a strong friendship formed. Long hours on job sites and shared problem-solving built trust, and casual conversations during breaks revealed shared values and complementary skills—mine in design and theirs in operations. That friendship naturally deepened into a partnership when we realized our combined strengths could create something better than either of us could do alone. Today, our collaboration at SleekDesignz blends practical craftsmanship with thoughtful design, reflecting the respect and mutual support that grew from those first days as coworkers.

After a decade providing reliable handyman services, Randy decided to focus on higher-end cabinetry, where his attention to detail, precise measurements, and material knowledge immediately began to soar. Working with premium woods, custom finishes, and complex hardware, pushed him to refine design sensibilities and technical skills, transforming straightforward repairs into bespoke installations that elevate entire rooms.
